Summary: Seven years ago, he had just started a small company. Seven years later, by industry estimates, his annual bread revenue approached 2 billion RMB. In seven years, Ye Yuehui created the "Hoshi Speed" in the internet-famous bakery track.
Around 2016, Hoshi Food formally took off. By 2018, it produced a blockbuster. By 2023, industry estimates placed annual revenue near 2 billion RMB. On the internet-famous bakery track, Hoshi's speed made every competitor nervous.
I. Starting Point: Entering the Industry at 16, 21 Years of Foundation-Building
In 1995, 16-year-old Ye Yuehui started from a family bakery, plunging into the bread industry. China's bakery market was still in its infancy. He started from basic production and sales, accumulating knowledge of ingredients, taste, and market in the smoke and warmth of the bakery.
In 2005, he returned to Zhangzhou to found Tianguan Food Factory, formally launching scaled bakery production. In 2010, he went to Henan to build a factory, expanding the production footprint. In 2011, the "Hoshi" brand was officially adopted — the first step toward branding. In 2015, the first pocket bread tested the market, initially validating the portable meal-replacement bread concept.
Over twenty-plus years, he didn't rush to expand or chase trends. Instead, he deeply cultivated products, refined craftsmanship, and accumulated supply chain experience. He spent 21 years making bread. But the real turning point came around 2016. The first 21 years were laying the foundation. Around 2016, the building rose upon it.
II. Breakthrough: The Blockbuster Philosophy of a "Little Pocket"
Around 2016, Hoshi (Fujian) Food Co., Ltd. was formally established, and Ye Yuehui's career entered a key explosion phase. Building on the 2015 pocket bread market test, Hoshi continuously iterated. In 2017-2018, the probiotic little pocket bread was born, quickly becoming a phenomenal blockbuster in the bakery world.
Before the probiotic pocket bread, the bakery industry had never had a "pocket bread" sub-category. Hoshi was not a follower jumping on a trend — it was the creator of an entirely new track. This product redefined bread's specifications, taste system, and consumption scenarios — small, portable, refreshing, perfect for meal replacement — precisely hitting young consumer needs.
A blockbuster isn't waited for — it's calculated. The pioneer defines the rules; followers obey them.
III. Explosion: The Invisible Giant with 2 Billion Annual Revenue
Leveraging the blockbuster's market dividends, Hoshi entered high-speed development mode. In 2020, the Nanjing Smart Industrial Park — total investment 1.05 billion RMB, 100 mu — officially began production. In 2021, Hoshi bread won the International iTQi Taste Award, achieving international quality certification. Channel deployment: products covered 100,000+ sales points nationwide — from first-tier city convenience stores to county and township mom-and-pop shops. In 2023, Hoshi's ordering event generated over 300 million in 2 hours; annual revenue was estimated near 2 billion RMB.
Seven years ran this fast because the foundation was 21 years in the making.
IV. True Strength: Supply Chain Is the Real Moat
The internet-famous track never lacks fleeting brands. Hoshi's sustained leadership comes from building a hard-to-replicate supply chain moat. Ye Yuehui insisted on full-industry-chain deployment, building a digitalized intelligent supply chain system with refined control from raw material procurement through production to logistics. Product development abandoned subjective assumptions, using massive user tasting data as the core basis for iterative optimization. From brand inception, Hoshi adhered to "only real ingredients to make good bread" — strict ingredient quality control, rejecting additive overuse.
Traffic can be bought. Supply chain cannot. Real ingredients are bread's "chip."
V. Outlook: Just Do Today's Work Well
From an internet-famous brand breaking through with a blockbuster to a near-2-billion bakery invisible giant — in seven years, Hoshi completed a transformative leap. Ye Yuehui operates extremely low-key, rarely appearing in public, always focusing on product R&D, factory operations, and quality control. When asked why Hoshi runs so fast, his answer is simple: "Just do today's work well."
Internet fame is momentary. Bread is daily. But Ye Yuehui proved one thing: do today's work well, and the wind will come. And faster than anyone else's.
