Asia Cover Figure has published its Editorial Selection Criteria, a charter-level document of seven chapters and thirty-three articles setting out the admission requirements, review procedures, exclusion rules and archive management provisions for the main publication and its thematic columns.
On October 9, 2026, the Editorial Committee of Asia Cover Figure (ACF) officially published the Editorial Selection Criteria. The full text is available on the ACF website and open to public scrutiny.
The document comprises seven chapters and thirty-three articles, systematically setting out the fundamental principles of the selection process, the admission requirements for the main publication and its thematic columns, the review procedures, the exclusion rules, and the code and archive management provisions.
Under the criteria, the selection process is guided by four fundamental principles: independence, impartiality, professionalism and non-commerciality. The process is conducted independently by the Editorial Committee, free from intervention by external institutions, individuals or commercial arrangements. All decisions are made independently by the Committee, and no fees are charged at any stage.
Regarding admission thresholds, the main publication, Cover Figure · Visionary Leaders, is dedicated to business leaders at the ten-billion-yuan level. They are identified exclusively through the Editorial Committee's editorial research, and no open application channel is provided. The thematic columns, by contrast, are open to recommendation and self-nomination for business figures with regional influence, growth potential or exemplary standing, with a general threshold of RMB 100 million in annual corporate revenue. Those who pass the preliminary evaluation are placed on the annual research shortlist, and formal archiving follows only after editorial review.
The criteria also establish clear exclusion rules. Figures who have been sentenced within the past five years for commercial fraud, corruption or disruption of market order, or who remain on the official list of dishonest judgment debtors as of the review date, are ineligible for admission.
On archive management, the criteria provide that figures who pass editorial review and are formally admitted receive an ACF Code that is unique for life and may never be withdrawn, altered or reused.
The full Editorial Selection Criteria are available on the official website: Editorial Selection Criteria →. The page records the last update date as October 9, 2026.
